I found myself repeating this little phrase in a group exercise class I taught a while back. Basically, it’s the idea that you choose what works uniquely for you and for your body. It fluctuates for all of us during different seasons, and that’s 100% okay. Get comfortable with the process. Prioritize YOU.
Research suggests that we need about 3 months of intentionally working towards a new habit before it becomes natural [around 90 days]. We all know from experience that habits don’t form overnight. Negative habits creep up slowly when we’re not watching, and life-building habits take persistence, energy, and thoughtfulness before they’re fossilized into our daily routines.
When I first created this challenge, I determined that 82 days was an ideal blend between popular 75 day and 90 day habit-building challenges. Plus, as I was living out my elementary teacher dreams at the time, I couldn’t pass up the rhyme. 82 made the cut!
At any point! Whenever you want. The program is inclusive to all schedule types, and there is no specific start date. You decide when to begin the journey, and we’ll provide you with the support and resources to meet your goals.
Nothing! Well unless you count a positive attitude and some good ol’ fashioned determination.
Literally anyone! Not limited to any age, gender, career, background, or anything else you might have filled out on the last official document you signed.
We’ve even had parents do the #YOUDOYOU82 challenge with their kids! Since every person individually chooses their target goals, it’s a win-win for everyone.
