One of the biggest things I’ve learned since being a mom and working from home as a business owner is that finding consistency in my day to day can be extremely challenging. I’m currently in a season of life that feels prettttttty chaotic so much of the time; while I’m beyond grateful to get to spend the majority of my days with my 3rd babe close by and build this incredibly beautiful business from home, I can’t help but feel like I’m being pulled in multiple directions too. Just recently, I had a major ‘lightbulb’ moment as I was thinking about everything I have going on. With all of the personal growth and healing I’ve done over the last few years, I now have this powerful awareness around what it truly FEELS like to be regulated and aligned (which wasn’t the case in the past, when I felt constantly dysregulated). Like…no WONDER I’ve been feeling like I’m drowning lately, because I used to know this feeling all too well – it totally goes against how I strive to live my life now!
In today’s episode, I want to talk about the importance of knowing your own red flags – specifically, within your body. Not that long ago when I was working outside of the home, I was burning the candle at both ends and juggling ALL.THE.THINGS. I was trying to be everything for everyone, and at the time, I thought that was completely normal – I had adjusted to that way of living. I’ve put in a LOT of effort to get to a place that doesn’t feel like that anymore, but right now, things just feel sort of..hard. My body (primarily my nervous system) has been letting me know it’s feeling all of the chaos and overwhelm and exhaustion, and these feelings are completely clashing with the alignment and peace that it craves (and is now used to). Just recently, I experienced this as I was in launch mode for my business and I had what felt like the period from hell – talk about dysregulation in my body!!
I am no longer at the point in my life where I can just push through and hustle, hustle, hustle – my body recognizes what’s happening, and it doesn’t want to be stuck in that masculine energy all of the time anymore. As I’m continuing to learn more about my menstrual cycle and how I feel in each phase, I’m continually reminded that being aware of what alignment truly feels like in my body is vital. Just like with anything in life, when we know better, we do better!
Whatever you are going through in your own life, knowing your own red flags, and knowing what you really need, will help pave the way for you to get to that place of finding healing, peace, and true alignment. When you have a very concrete understanding of your priorities and the future you want to build for you and your family, you WILL be able to create the reality you desire.
