I’m excited for you to get to know my friend, Sadie Schweers, on the podcast today!
Sadie grew up in a farming family, and is now a wife to a 6th generation farmer, mom to 3 kids, and wealth advisor in the San Antonio, TX region. Her journey into the finance space started in a unique way when she was in college. Sadie actually purchased the boutique where she was working, and after selling it, began working for the financial advisor she was investing with. Sadie is now a true powerhouse in her industry; she has a deep passion for the investment world, and has naturally risen to the top as a young industry leader. Although she is not a fan of bookkeeping, she absolutely loves ALL things investing (they are two completely separate things), and loves supporting women, as well as families and entrepreneurs. As of 2024, she transitioned to the independent RIA space, and is using her knowledge to better serve her family and friends.
In today’s episode, Sadie and I are talking about growing wealth, living in two worlds, and showing up as your authentic self. Getting started with investing can be intimidating and feel pretty overwhelming if you don’t have the right advisor in your corner – it’s kind of like a dating experience! It’s important to ‘shop around’ so you find the best fit for you and your investment needs, and take that first step so you CAN grow big, fat bank accounts (and no..there’s nothing wrong with wanting this for you and your family)! Sadie also shares more of her experience of what it’s like living in the two completely different worlds of farming/ag, and her career as a wealth advisor. While she feels grateful to hold an important role in both spaces, it can be challenging to navigate, and constantly feel pulled in different directions. As women in ag, we MUST continue speaking up, and change the conversation surrounding farming and business. It’s vital that we diversify off of the farms and not be closed off to new ideas (while still respecting and remembering what the previous generation taught us), so we can preserve legacies for our families.
Sadie and I covered a variety of crucial topics in our conversation, and her incredible heart and passion for what she does really shines through. Whether it’s with your career, motherhood, finances, or leaving a legacy for your loved ones, embracing AND boldly showing up as your authentic self in your community (and life) is necessary. What you bring to the table matters, friend, so make sure you own that, and don’t forget to get support where you need it so you can focus on making those big dreams a reality!
Sadie Schweers has a true passion for the investment world and has naturally risen to the top as a young industry leader. Sadie previously served as a portfolio manager for one of the largest privately owned firms in Texas. In 2021, Sadie decided to use her knowledge to serve the family and friends she loves dearly and transitioned to the independent RIA space. At the beginning of 2024, Sadie joined Seasons Wealth as an advisor where she strives for excellence and has an unwavering dedication for her clients and their success. Sadie serves on multiple boards in her community and is a mother of 3.
In this episode, Growing Wealth, Living in Two Worlds, and Showing Up as Your Authentic Self with Sadie Schweers, we cover:

- How Sadie empowers her clients to take control of their finances and cheers them on to achieve the goals they’re striving for
- Why getting started with investing is a lot like a dating experience
- Utilizing an IRA as an entrepreneur + not worrying about ‘starting small’, because your money will compound and continue working for you
- Sadie’s beautiful, yet challenging, experience of living in two different ‘worlds’, and how that impacts her in her everyday life
- Why we HAVE to continue changing the conversation and making our voices heard regarding the farming/ag world and business
- Honoring and respecting both the solid foundation the previous generation has built + the fresh ideas and perspectives the next generation is presenting
- Taking ownership and embracing your authentic role in your community + why it’s beneficial to cultivate different types of relationships in different spaces
- Boldly owning who you are and what you bring to the table, because what you have to offer IS valuable (and needed)
- Understanding that it’s okay to ‘stretch your boundaries’ and relinquish control in certain areas, so you’re able to grow and focus on your dreams
