Every time I get off of one of my mastermind calls, my heart is truly on FIRE with excitement and gratitude. I felt this recently after digging really deep with some amazing women, because we got down to the nitty gritty. We were unpacking limiting beliefs, recognizing what’s coming up from our pasts, learning to be more intentional and slow down, moving away from our addictions for approval and achievement, and SO much more.
This is, by far, one of my favorite things about the work I get to do in this space. I’m really proud to have built such an incredible community that is genuinely rooted in cheering each other on, holding space for the tough stuff, and always encouraging each other through the ups and downs in life!
All of this gets me excited for my next ASCEND retreat this upcoming spring, and one of the key things we spend time doing there is learning how to set aligned goals. So often, we tend to set goals backwards, and just pick something based on what we ‘think’ we should be aiming for, or what we see other people doing.
In today’s episode, I want to talk with you more about how to set aligned goals, and the step by step process I personally use. I want you to get very intentional about setting goals and priorities that bring you closer to what you REALLY want for you and your family.
In this episode about how to set aligned goals using my step by step process, we cover:
- Giving yourself permission to dream with NO boundaries, and thinking about the prompt “wouldn’t it be cool if..” (fill in the blank with your goals)
- Painting a picture with your goals as they relate to specific physical, emotional, spiritual, psychological, financial, and more aspects in your life
- Choosing your top 10 goals and writing them down as if they’re already true
- Looking at how each of your goals fit into your big picture
- Narrowing your list of goals down to ONE, and write down/take note of the reasons WHY you are choosing this one
- Doing a huge brain dump to get all of your thoughts and ideas out and onto paper
- Taking one step at a time (ex. Like knocking dominoes over), instead of trying to do everything you need to do at once
- The magic that comes from sharing about your unique goals with other women who are encouraging and challenging you in the same room
