Today’s episode is going to be a littttle bit of a unique one..but a fun one too!
With the current season of life I’m in (newborn phase with my 3rd babe, owning my own business, the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, etc..you get it), I was struggling to come up with something specific to talk about today. I asked my amazing podcast manager, Jill, to come on and ask me some questions in hopes of sharing something valuable (or at least, entertaining) with you, so that’s exactly what happened!
In today’s episode, I want to talk about my postpartum struggles, and what is going on for me in this current season. Life looks pretty different these days compared to a year ago, or even several years ago when I was a new mom and had a different career. I’m continually being reminded that some seasons are tougher than others, and while this time is one that I have SO much gratitude for, it’s also really freaking hard. Your expectations of yourself and the people around you have to look different in different seasons too; having the self-awareness to articulate what’s going on and ask for help where you need it is so necessary. Ultimately, choosing intentionality and focusing on your priorities is key, because at the end of the day, you don’t need to be doing ALL.THE.THINGS.
I hope this episode brings you some value and encouragement, no matter what beautiful or challenging season you’re in – you’re definitely not alone. I’m forever grateful for you, and I’m pumped for the incredible things that are in store for 2024!
In this episode about postpartum struggles and new things coming in 2024, we cover:
- What life has looked like since welcoming my 3rd baby (personally & professionally), compared to my previous postpartum journeys
- Acknowledging that some seasons are harder than others + knowing that we have the capacity to hold multiple emotions at once
- The importance of taking enough time off after having a baby and asking for the help that YOU specifically need in your work and life
- The value of having someone with an outside perspective to challenge your beliefs and encourage you when you need it
- Little things that are helping me in my current season of life + having self-awareness when you’re articulating your feelings to others and asking for help
- Exciting things ahead in 2024
