I’m chatting with a new friend of mine, Alli Williams, on the podcast today!
Alli steered clear of debt and became debt-free in her twenties, but she married into 6-figures worth of debt. While paying off their debt, she and her husband continued to invest, save, and spend intentionally. Through this process, Alli found that financial freedom DOES exist, and this led her to educate and work with other people on their money and financial goals. Entrepreneurship was never on Alli’s radar, but now, her mission is to help women and couples with their money, and ultimately, experience their own financial freedom.
Alli and I are talking about all things money and finances, and she wants to continue making money more conversational (instead of a far-off, scary thing that nobody wants to think about). We’re diving into limiting beliefs that can keep you from achieving your financial goals, simple steps to take when you’re starting to focus on your money, what it looks like to have those necessary money conversations with your partner (even when it feels really uncomfortable), and more.
Alli is truly passionate about the work she does; she loves seeing her clients have those ‘lightbulb moments’ when things start to click, and their finances no longer overwhelm or scare them. I know the advice she shared here will help you have those necessary money conversations with the important people in your life!
Alli is the founder and CEO of FinanciALLI Focused, a financial literacy company helping people create a flexible financial plan they can actually stick to (no deprivation here). She paid off over six-figures of debt while still saving, investing, and buying season football tickets.
Alli’s work has been featured on Business Insider, Nerdwallet, and more. She has her MBA in Finance and lives in South Carolina on a 25 acre farm with her husband and 2 sons. She spends her time at football games (Go Gamecocks!) and with a Starbucks latte in her hand.
In this episode about money conversations, we cover:
