I am sooo giddy for this episode, because I LOVE the Olympics – I’ve always been low key obsessed with it!
I don’t know about you, but for me, this year’s games just felt different..in the best ways possible. So many women were competing, and for the first time ever, there was actually a 50/50 split between men and women! Women’s sports are definitely having their own moment right now, which I’m totally here for. I love the current movement that is women supporting and truly CELEBRATING other women too; I honestly never imagined this would be a reality for my generation, so it is pretty freaking inspirational to see! Since watching the Olympics and consuming the Olympic media in various places, I really wanted to share some of my favorite ‘nuggets’ (aka Olympic lessons) that hopefully you can implement into your own life as well.
In today’s episode, I want to talk about Olympic lessons for multi-passionate moms, creatives, and entrepreneurs. Some of my favorite powerhouse Olympic ladies like Allyson Felix, Simone Biles, and Ilona Maher (just to name a few), are really stepping up, kicking ass, and paving the way for us as women! Moms were absolutely SHINING at the Olympics; this is huge for us as a society, because it’s showing us that not only can you be an awesome mom, but you can pursue your dreams too! You don’t have to do and be everything for everyone, and completely lose yourself in the process. We’ve also witnessed how necessary it is to take time for and prioritize our mental and physical health; this doesn’t showcase us as being weak or ‘less than’, but will actually lead to us coming out stronger, and better than ever on the other side! I also love that women no longer feel the need to tear each other down, in order to raise themselves up – there is room for ALL OF US at the table. We must continue leading with love, trust, and empathy, and show future generations the magic that happens when we come together.
One of my favorite lessons that I took away was that it’s a beautiful thing to accept and fully embrace your unique, multifaceted self. Pursuing what you’re excited about and showing up authentically doesn’t have to make sense to others, as long it does for YOU. Yeah…you absolutely should follow your curiosity, your joy, and whatever the heck lights you up! Whether you’re a multi-passionate mom, creative, entrepreneur, or something else, I hope this episode leaves you feeling incredibly inspired and hopeful about what’s happening, and what’s to come!!
In this episode, Olympic Lessons for Multi-Passionate Moms, Creatives, and Entrepreneurs, we cover:
- The current, beautiful reality that is women supporting and celebrating other women
- The incredible ‘moment’ that moms are having at the Olympics + how it shows us that we can be awesome moms and still pursue our dreams
- Why taking time for and prioritizing your mental and physical health doesn’t make you weak, but stronger and better than ever
- How we’re continuing to crush the notion that we must tear each other down in order to have a seat at the table, because there’s actually room for ALL of us
- Moving away from unrealistic body standards + knowing that your overall health, appearance, etc. is never a ‘one-size-fits-all’
- Why you should totally embrace your unique, multifaceted self, instead of shoving yourself into a box in order to be accepted and worthy
- Realizing that you can be multipassionate, because YOU are your niche, and you can do and explore whatever you’re desiring to
- Why showing up as your authentic self ALWAYS wins + understanding that no matter how successful and happy you are, there will still be someone who doesn’t like you
